Recalling the feel and spirit of pioneer America in the 1800s, Silver Dollar City is an amusement park that is suitable for guests of all ages, offering roller coasters next to comedy shows and craft demonstrations. A schedule of over 40 live shows runs every day the park is open, including performances of folk songs and seasonal holiday songs during December. Numerous shops sell wares hearkening back to a previous era, from original pieces of art to old fashioned fruit preserves and baking mixes. The park is situated a few miles west of town, south of the Ledgestone Country Club.

There is rides for youger and older.the food is great tating. and if you like to shop till you drop then this is also the place to be.they are adding anothe ride in the summer of 2010.it is a very fun,awsome,wild, and entertaing experince!!! :-)

The price is a little high, but all in all it's a great way to spend a day in the area! Check with locals to find out which days are the least busy, though. It's not worth waiting in long lines for most of the rides.
